Please help Owen receive his service dog “Hiro” (pronounced Hero), after one of his favorite Thomas the Tank Engine trains. Owen has autism and although Owen is high functioning and able to communicate quite well, he still has difficulty with many things we all take for granted.
Owen tries really hard to be social with his peers, but truly lacks the skills necessary to be accepted. Having a service dog would place the focus on the dog and not so much on Owen’s disability. Owen also has behavior issues that impact his school life significantly. Hiro would be there to help calm Owen when he becomes overwhelmed by difficult situations.
