Carter is a three year old with severe Autism. He is non-verbal and requires constant help. One of our biggest concerns is for his safety. He has no awareness of danger, is very fast and will run away just out of curiosity. This puts him in danger of busy streets, people and numerous other things. This means that he could potentially get in a car with anyone. A service dog would not only help make his life more consistent, but also give him a sense of responsibility and friendship
Having a loving companion Wherever he goes, will offer him the security that everything is ok. It will also help minimize his anxiety. A service dog would help him interact with his peers and also help manage his obsessive compulsive behavior. A service dog will assist in warning him of dangerous situations.
